A study of Athletes¢¥ Cardiorespiratory Function and Blood Glucose and Lactate

Abstract
The purpose of this study were to analyse the changes of cardiorespiratory function, blood glucose and lactate in rest time, during exercise and recovery period.
The subject in this study were eight soccer players. eight gymnastic athletes and eight Taekwon-do fighters, a total of 24 male students of K University.
The results were as followings.
1. Cardiorespiratory function
1) Ventilation
The maximum ventilation showed a significant difference (p<. 01).
2) Oxygen intake
The oxygen intake in rest time showed a significant difference (p<. 05).
3) Carbon dioxide production
The maximum carbon dioxide production during exercise showed a significant difference(p(.001).
4) Oxygen intake per weight
The oxygen intake per weight in rest time showed a significant difference(p(.001).
5) Heart Rate
The heart rate in rest time showed a significant difference(p(.001) and the maxi-mum heart rate during exercise showed a significant difference (p<.01).
6) Oxygen Pulse
The oxygen pulse in rest time showed a significant difference(p<.001) and the maxi-mum oxygen pulse during exercise showed a significant difference(p(.001).
